Honesty and Integrity
Involves dealing honestly and preserving integrity with my clients and stakeholders. This is not just ethical and industry requirements, but MOST IMPORTANTLY, it is reflective of who GOD is, and dealing honestly with integrity gives good testimony to the CREATOR of the Heavens and the Earth. I may be mocked or ridiculed for my overt Christian outlook, but this is my underlying value and anchor of life.
Exodus 20:16 – You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
Fairness and Equity
Involves respecting all clients from all walks of life, and deal fairly with all parties concerned. With regard to suppliers and vendors, no payment arrears as everyone needs to earn a living
Deuteronomy 24:15 – Pay them their wages each day before sunset
Responsible stewardship
This is the underlying core of any accounting business. We are accountable to our clients and stakeholders in all our dealings. This is in direct contrast to unscrupulous accountants who embezzle company funds, and taint the name of the profession.
Matthew 24:45 – Who then is the faithful and wise servant (steward), whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the others their food at the proper time?
